Just how long will it take for us to accept the fact that Islam is at war with the West? And by the West I mean Judaism and Christianity.

Every Jew in the world knows Muslims are his enemy. And every Muslim knows it. It is a shame most Christians do not accept that same fact — it’s time they pulled their heads out of the sand.

Since the day Abraham turned Hagar and Ishmael out and sent them on their way (Genesis 21:14), Islam has been a dedicated enemy (Genesis 16:14) of God’s chosen. The chosen are the Jews (Deuteronomy 7:6). And from the chosen come Christians, putting Jews and Christians in the same boat. That is why Iran labels the United States “Big Satan” and Israel “Little Satan,” which they swear they will wipe off the face of the earth.

The wishful thinking that says “Islam is a peaceful religion” which gained considerable prominence during the George W. Bush administration is an oxymoron. Central to Islam’s core beliefs is a worldwide Caliphate, with sure and quick death to any and all who oppose. And every Muslim knows it.

We are engaged in a spiritual war the likes of which the modern world has never before witnessed. And every Muslim knows it. So, why is it that most Christians are afraid to accept the obvious?

While there are no doubt many symptoms, I suggest there are two primary causal factors. The first is the failure of churches to educate their congregations. The other is our very own government, which has been complicit in siding with the enemy.

Pastors have a responsibility to inform and guide their flocks. There is no justifiable reason why churches cannot set aside one night each week to educate its people about the two greatest threats humanity has faced in the past fifty years: Islam and socialism, and its kissing-cousin Marxism.

So, why don’t churches do it? The answer is fear, fear of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). There is this unfounded belief that if a pastor speaks out on political issues in a manner that disfavors the government, that the church could lose tax-exempt status. THAT IS SIMPLY FALSE.

The Second Amendment of the Constitution places the church outside government. Specifically, that means churches do not have to, and should not apply for 501c3 tax exempt status. In other words, why should they apply for something they already possess?

A good article for pastors and church administrators to read is found at: http://hushmoney.org/501c3-facts.htm. That article explains the whole matter in detail.

But churches also err in a different manner. Hebrews 13:17 says we are to submit to those appointed over us. However, that law only applies to legitimate and just governments. In Joshua 6:25 we read where Rahab hid the Israelites when they came to spy on Jericho. In return, God blessed her and her family and gave them safety.

In Exodus 1:15-17 we read where even though Pharaoh had given an order to the midwives to destroy all newborn Hebrew males, out of fear of God they refused. And in Exodus 2 we learn that Moses was one of those newborns.

And less we forget, all of the thirteen (13, not 12) apostles, save possibly John, died at the hands of the evil government appointed over them, which they necessarily disobeyed by obeying a higher authority, Almighty God.

Now, regarding the government’s complicity in siding with the enemy. One would have to be totally divorced from reality not to recognize that this administration openly sides with Muslims over Jews and Christians. When it comes to the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, although they claim to support Israel, the truth is that their favor consistently falls on the side of the Palestinians.

I know of no one from the Jewish or Christian communities with open invitation to the White House. Yet, the Muslim Brotherhood is on the list of frequent visitors. Even some of our judges have chosen to ignore the fact that this nation was founded on Judeo-Christian principals taken directly from the Bible.

Over the past few months, judges in three states, Oklahoma, Florida, and Pennsylvania have ruled that Sharia law was applicable in American court, in direct violation of the Constitution.

And how can we forget that the Justice Department under Attorney General Eric Holder is fighting states that have implemented voter ID laws, while refusing to pursue the issue of voter intimidation by Black Muslims.

As Christians, it’s time we stood up and be counted. It’s time we honestly evaluate those running for or presently holding political office. And it’s time we vote out all career politicians.

On the other hand, if we continue to be complacent and refuse to become informed of the issues facing our nation, I’m afraid we may soon find need to learn another language.

I ask again, how long before we realize Islam is at war with the West?
