Considering Fox News recently made a drastic shift to the left in its coverage of the news, did they cut a deal with the Obama administration? Or, to be more precise, did Fox cut a deal with Obama’s Justice Department and the FCC to get them to lay off the Murdoch scandal?

Have you noticed that the international Murdoch scandal which forced a major media network in Great Briton to shut down, almost toppled the British government, and raised questions as to whether it had spread to the United States, all of a sudden drops off the radar screen?

In zero to sixty seconds we went from wall-to-wall coverage of the subject to blackout.

Was the simultaneous silence of the media and Fox’s joining the leftist elite coincidental? Or, were they inextricably connected? I consider these questions fair given the fact we are talking about one of the most powerful media conglomerates in the world today with tentacles spreading throughout major print, radio, and TV enterprises.

Rupert Murdoch is a media giant with unimaginable influence. And it was no secret the Obama administration viewed Fox News as the enemy. So much so, the President often spoke of what he deemed to be unfair or slanted coverage of him and his administration’s policies.

As I stated in my last post, I was once a big Fox fan because it was the only source of honest news. But that is no longer true.

Anyone who has been following Fox News coverage of the GOP presidential nomination debates and associated news cannot help but see the extreme bias against conservative former Speaker of the House of Representatives Newt Ginrich. It’s simply blatantly obvious!

No reasonable person believes ABC News was justified in airing its interview of Newt Ginrich’s former wife Marianne. The ex-wife made uncorroborated charges against Newt, charges he vehemently denies. Yet, drawing solely from a single source and no ability to confirm the charges, ABC nonetheless made the decision to air the interview two days prior to the South Carolina GOP primary election.

Whatever happened to honest journalism?

Clothed from head to toe in their self-righteous armour, ABC insisted they had no intention of influencing the election. Anyone who believes such nonsense needs to have his head examined.

Of course, they intended to influence the election. They wanted former Governor Mitt Romney to win the two debates and go on to win the election. And when they say otherwise, they are lying.

Then, Fox’s Neil Cavuto had the gall to say on his TV show that ABC News was justified in airing the interview. He also said that during South Carolina’s first debate, John King of CNN was justified in asking Ginrich if he wished to comment on his former wife’s charges.

Do you suppose Neil would feel the same way if it was he who was under attack? What would be his opinion if someone close to him had made a vicious charge against him just prior to his meeting management for his annual review and possible promotion; a charge he claims was fabricated?

Whether true or false, if management was willing to hear the charge – he would be hurt. So, as the old saying goes, “If you live in a glass house, you should avoid throwing stones.”

But Neil Caputo is not the only Fox newscaster who has joined the ranks of the leftist elite. The disease seems to have permeated the entire Fox group. It makes you wonder just where the integrity is, doesn’t it?

After all, anyone who disapproved of distorting the news could have just said no. But, it just goes to prove what the Bible says is true, “For the love of money is the root of all evil” (1 Tim 6:10a).

The lowest paid newscaster at Fox makes more money in one year than many of us will make in a lifetime. So, just how much money does it take to alter one’s scruples?

The bigger question is, “Why did Fox as a network move from being fair and balanced to anything but? Whatever the answer, it has to be something big. And it had to be a top-down decision.

So, that brings me back to the Murdoch scandal. And, the fact that it just seems to have vanished in thin air.

Is there a connection? You be the judge!
